Star Diner

21 May

May 21 was, according to some, Rapture Day, the start of 5 months of judgment days, the start of end times, all culminating with the end of the world in October.
The WBC decided to kick all this off with breakfast at the Star Diner in White Plains. It’s not every restaurant that has to go up against the question “Was this a place worthy of Rapture Day breakfast?”

We posed this question to ourselves at the end of our meal. (Well, not all of us. Patrick was absent from breakfast, leading the remaining WBC members to assume he had flown over to Hong Kong in order to be raptured at their 6:00 local time.)

So, was our breakfast rapture-worthy? Had Patrick, in fact, been raptured? Read on to find out.

Pumpernickel

15 May

One rainy Sunday 50% of the WBC learned that Pumpernickel isn’t just a bread, it’s also a restaurant in Ardsley. This outing also saw the establishment of a new WBC rule. Want to know the rule? Read on hungry masses, read on.

08 May

It’s happened. We’re famous. At least to the readers of The Journal News.

On Wednesday, April 27 a front page story ran about the WBC. To be fair, it was the front page of the Life & Style section, but hey, it’s still a front page, and any front page is, in our mind, a step in the right direction. Well, maybe not any front page. Ok, so all we’re trying to say is that we’re really excited about the story that ran about us in The Journal News, and we’d love for all of our readers to check it out if you haven’t already.

Thanks for following our breakfast adventures over the last year and a half. We’ll have a fresh serving of breakfast reviews posted soon!
