Bareburger has some pretty tasty burgers. Bison burger, wild boar burger or even elk burger along with the good old organic grass fed beef burger. A place that focuses so much on organic, high quality meats has to serve up some good breakfast right? This wasn’t going to be another chain restaurant making an attempt at the breakfast market was it?

Bareburger attempted, and they nailed it. The breakfast offerings weren’t as diverse as a diner, or as cheap. But they offered a good amount for the hungry bear.

Both Jeff and Andrew got variations of the Hungry Bear. Jeff got a combination of buttermilk waffle, country ham and scrambled eggs.

Andrew got the carrot cake french toast, sausage and scrambled eggs, along with a side of thick cut bacon.

Both dishes looked amazing, and much to our surprise, they all came with some parsley sweet potato wedges.

I had opted for a breakfast sandwich. I had 2 eggs (over easy), maple breakfast sausage, colby cheese and sweet apple grilled onion on multi grain panini bread. My sandwich also came with those delicious sweet potato wedges too!

My sandwich was huge, and very filling. After eating one half, I could only muster the stomach space to eat the contents of the second half and leave the bread. The sweet potato wedges were delicious. Thick, with a crispy outside. Perfectly salted.

While I was looking through the menu, trying to decide what I wanted, banana fritters caught my eye as a side offered with the carrot cake french toast. I didn’t feel like getting the french toast, so I asked if I could just get the banana fritters as a side. I wanted to try them. Our waitress was very nice and came out with three banana fritters for us to nosh on before our meals arrived. They were banana-y, but was a little too covered in flour prior to frying which made them a bit gummy. Not my favorite, but I’m glad I got to try them.

Overall we left stuffed to the gills.

The czar says: It was a lot of food, and it was all really good. High quality ingredients and well prepared. I might have to go back to check out some of their other breakfast offerings!

Good to know this place has brunch! I’ve seen it on my way to Trader Joe’s and was intrigued, but never stopped in. Looks tasty 🙂
